Why Launching a Line of Freeze-dried All Natural Fruit & Vegetable Dog Treats Might be the Most Important Thing We Have Ever Done
I am so excited to announce the launch of our line of nutritious freeze-dried fruit and vegetable dog treats called Nibbles, which I believe might just be the most important product line we have ever pursued. These healthy treats are 100% natural with absolutely nothing added, no artificial colors, no added sugar, they are literally just fruit and vegetable. The options we are starting with are apple slices, blueberries, green beans and diced carrots, all perfect for dogs with dietary restrictions such as food sensitivities, allergies, kidney or liver disease or for pet parents simply looking for a healthy, low calorie, plant-based treat option. Nibbles can also be used as a food additive to give a healthy boost to your dog's regular meals.
Over the years, thanks to all the experiences I have had with my dogs, especially seniors, I have become a better pet parent. One of the greatest lessons I have learned is how important diet can be for so many conditions our dogs face. Whether it is intestinal troubles, allergies, kidney or liver disease or even weight management, the best thing we can do for our dogs is ensure they have a healthy diet that suits their needs.
I became acutely aware of the power of proper food management when my senior pug Lily faced problems with her kidneys and what she ate had a profound impact on how well or how poorly her kidneys functioned. In fact Lily is a big reason I wanted to launch our line of freeze-dried fruits and vegetable dog treats because when she was sick, my veterinarian told me to avoid store bought dog treats and instead give her apple, carrots, green beans or blueberries as a treat.
Lily sadly passed away a couple years ago, but I know she would have loved our new line of freeze-dried apple slices, diced carrots, green beans and blueberries and every time I look at these products I think of her and wish she was here to enjoy them. However, it gives me great comfort to know that other families will now have a nutritious treat option for their dogs whether young or seniors, healthy or facing medical issues, to improve their diet and overall well-being. This is why I believe this is the most important thing Dog Quality has ever done because dogs with limited dietary options due to medical challenges now have a delicious treat or food additive to enjoy that fits within their dietary restrictions.
I also believe that there are pet parents, who like myself, are tired of worrying about what companies put in their dog treats, whether my dog will have a reaction, whether it will give them an upset stomach, impact their weight, conflict with their strict dietary needs and most importantly, if it is actually good for them. With our Nibbles freeze-dried fruit and vegetables you can have peace of mind because these treat alternatives are simply fruit and vegetables with nothing added. Also unlike other preservation methods such as dehydration, freeze drying preserves almost all of the nutritional value, flavor and even odor of the raw fruits and vegetables.
Another reason I fell in love with the idea of offering freeze dried fruit and veggies as a dog treat alternative is because they are crunchie BUT super easy to chew so that senior dogs, many of which are missing most of their teeth, can easily enjoy these treats because they are crisp but not hard and break up so quickly in their mouths.
I am so excited to be offering these super nutritional treat options to give you all choices I feel I didn't have myself as a pet parent. Aside from all of the healthy benefits that come from giving your dog apples, carrots, green beans and blueberries, you can also find comfort in knowing that everything is sourced from local farms and is just as safe for you to eat as it is for your dog. If you haven't tried world-renowned British Columbia blueberries now is your chance!
I am so proud of Dog Quality's expansion into the nutrition category and I hope that you will join us on this journey towards healthy living for pets and humans alike. We can make a difference in their lives with the choices we make, something I find to be incredibly empowering. There is so much we cannot control, but there is hope in knowing that there is also a great deal within our power to change or prevent. And sometimes that change comes in a treat bag. ❤
